What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Service Technician / Mechanic position at ATW Marine?
We are currently interviewing for a skilled mechanical technician with experience in the marine industry. We are a busy, full-service marine company specializing in mechanical repairs, yacht steering & running gear, bottom painting, also detailing. We are centrally located in Tarpon Springs, FL on the Anclote River at an extremely active boatyard. We work on boats and yachts of all shapes and sizes and are looking to hire someone that is eager to excel in this industry and grow with our company.
This is a full-time position.*
-Observe equipment to detect potential problems.
-Assess and diagnose all non-working conditions and document findings.
-Repair any defective mechanical, electrical, or plumbing components.
-Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
-Perform routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes.
Qualifications
-Applicant must be energetic, hardworking, and able to complete jobs in the time provided.
-Must be able to work with minimal supervision and with attention to detail.
-Prior mechanical experience required.
-Prior experience in the boating/marine industry strongly preferred.
