What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Direct Care Professional position at Attleboro Enterprises, Inc?
Attleboro Enterprises, Inc. serves the residential and day program needs of adult individuals with developmental disabilities and vocational rehabilitative needs in Southeastern MA.
The Direct Care Professional will assist program participants in developing daily living skills, attaining goals and objectives stated in the Individual Service Plan, and promoting a positive image in the community. Some of the duties include:
- Support, educate and/or train residents in developing daily living skills including cooking, and some housecleaning.
- Promote healthy living with residents by educating individuals on diet and exercise.
- Facilitate community integration by transporting and supervising individuals in activities including religious services, cultural events, recreational activities, banking, medical appointments and employment.
To qualify for this position, you must:
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalency;
- Must have MAP certification or willing to complete certification during the first 90 days of employment;
- Must be physically capable of transferring people of adult weight ranges to and from wheelchairs or other adaptive equipment;
- An acceptable CORI record;
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record;
- Respect for the confidentiality of all communications required within job duties, including client/employee records and documents, and electronic transmission by voice, data, and wire;
- Experience with multi-cultural/multi-lingual populations and multi-disciplinary teams.
Variety of hours available in our Lakeville, Swansea and Somerset residential homes.
Starting Rate is $21.00 hourly; $21.50 with MAP Certification. 5% Differential rate for weekend hours.
