Machine Learning Engineer (Agent/LLM), Between $200,000-260,000 (depending on experience) - SF

Machine Learning Engineer sought for a fast-growth and highly forward thinking startup based in SF. This is a really exciting opportunity to join a talented team (former Waymo/SpaceX/NASA) who are focusing on AI powered simulation and engineering for industries across robotics, autonomy, aerospace and automotive. With multiple core successful products, they are growing fast and looking to grow out their team further.

We're looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop and deploy advanced AI & ML systems at the core of an agent driven engineering platform. The role is focused on building LLM based agentic systems that automate simulation workflows across multiple domains. As an ML Engineer, you will ideally have strong foundations, hands on experience building agentic systems and ability to train models from scratch. This is a great role if you're excited by working with the latest tech as well as RFT and human in the loop refinement.

This role is paying up to $260,000 equity & many other benefits.

Looking for:

• Professional experience in ML Engineering, AI systems development or a closely related role
• Background in designing and deploying production LLM-based agentic systems (including system architecture and orchestration)
• Python or Rust experience
• Experience training models from scratch using deep learning frameworks (PyTorch)
• LLM integration and an understanding of transformer architectures
• Bonus points for building coding agents or contributing to developer tooling
• Background in ML for scientific computing or a focus in the following industries: aerospace, automotive, autonomous vehicles, robotics, defense or similar
