The Parts Counter Customer Service representative assists customers with selecting and purchasing off-road vehicle parts and accessories. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring a well-organized parts counter area. Job Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm welcome and answer questions about parts and accessories.
- Answer phones and address customer needs in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist customers in selecting the correct parts for their off-road vehicles.
- Process sales transactions and create retail invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Builds the sale with the customer with the appropriate suggestions.
- Handle special orders and coordinate with suppliers.
- Review POs and order daily.
- Look up and/or order Service RO parts.
- Supply Service Technicians with parts as required.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Assist the Sales Department with accessory parts on new units
- Execute parts returns to the manufacturer or aftermarket promptly.
- Process parts warranty claims from counter tickets.
- Perform periodic inventory counts.
- Organize and keep inventory in order.
- Follow up on shortages and expedite issues by reporting to the manager.
- Assist with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
- Keep the parts counter area clean and organized.
- Provide support to other departments as needed.
- Perform other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Basic knowledge of off-road vehicle parts and accessories is a plus.
- A passion for off-roading is a plus.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to operate a computer and point-of-sale system.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, load and deliver merchandise, and stand for long periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
