Job Purpose & Duties

You will play an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will:

• Prepare and analyze financial and statistical reports for leadership, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders, highlighting program performance, internal controls, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support continuous enhancement of accounting systems and drive efficiency through clear financial communication across the organization.
• Participate in contract and payment negotiations with external parties.
• Review and approve financial transactions; support budgeting processes; and monitor construction payments, bond status, cash balances, and investments.
• Maintain detailed financial records and assist with regulatory reporting, including tax filings and Medicaid reports.
• Provide financial data and analysis to inform leadership decisions and assist in audit preparation and coordination with external auditors.
• Collaborate with the CFO and IT team to improve systems integration and financial reporting tools.
• Oversee payroll accuracy and ensure compliance with tax and reporting regulations.
• Perform related duties and contribute to committees as assigned.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Minimum of three years accounting experience with a bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university. CPA desired.
• Experience working with government programs and the various reporting requirements associated with those contractual relationships. Knowledge of regulations (i.e., Medicaid, HUD, insurance, etc.).
• Senior living in particular Life Lease and Assisted Living experience accounting desired.
