This position is based at our Tell City, IN facility.
Job Summary
ATTC is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Generalist to join our accounting team. This position is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while collaborating with both internal departments and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledger and vendor statements.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure payments are made according to terms.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end closing activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports as assigned.
- Record financial transactions accurately within the company's ERP system.
- Respond professionally to questions from employees, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding invoices, payments, and account status.
- Maintain organized financial documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounting department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Preferred
- Previous accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Experience using IQMS, DELMIAWorks, or another ERP system.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively in an office environment.
