Responsibilities

The Centralized Servicing Specialist is responsible for supporting centralized account servicing activities through accurate processing, review, and documentation of payment transactions and account maintenance workflows. This role ensures timely and compliant handling of payment posting, deposits, overages, refunds, and specialized account reviews, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, customer service, and internal communication. The position focuses on efficient execution of servicing tasks, resolution of account-related issues, and consistent support for operational priorities across the business. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and post payments, deposits, overages, and refunds in accordance with company policy and established procedures. 
  • Review account activity and servicing requests to ensure transactions are completed correctly, documented thoroughly, and resolved in a timely manner. 
  • Monitor and maintain accounts requiring specialized review, including deceased account updates, hold code reviews, and other centralized servicing strategies. 
  • Research account discrepancies, clarify issues, and implement appropriate solutions while escalating unresolved concerns in accordance with internal guidelines. 
  • Maintain complete and accurate records by entering and updating information promptly within loan management and servicing systems. 
  • Support internal and external customer service needs by responding professionally to inquiries and providing accurate information related to account servicing matters. 
  • Track servicing activity, identify trends or issues, and support leadership with reporting or follow-up as required. 
  • Collaborate with branch teams, home office departments, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency, compliance, and timely resolution of account matters.
  • Complete additional duties, special projects, and process improvement initiatives as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data entry, clerical support, payment processing, customer service, or account servicing.
  • Experience with payment posting or servicing support in a financial institution or consumer finance environment preferred.
  • Proven ability to process high-volume transactions accurately while maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to research issues and resolve routine account concerns independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with experience using loan management or servicing systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, branch teams, courts, legal offices, and home office personnel, as applicable.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Working Conditions

Base Hourly Rate: $18.50 - $20.00

 

The base hourly range represents the low and high end of the anticipated hourly range for this position based on the state average.  The actual base hourly offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.

 

All full-time employees are also eligible for the following benefits: Paid Time Off, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Life Insurance, Disability, and other voluntary coverages.
