What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Management Team Member position at Attack-One Fire Management Services?
As a veteran-owned leader in wildfire mitigation, Attack-One is building our revenue engine by expanding our field teams. We're seeking four Team Members to support prescribed burns, fuel reduction, and suppression ops. Start ASAP to help secure and execute high-value contracts across the Southeast.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in prescribed burns, wildfire suppression, and fuel reduction (e.g., mulching, tree thinning, invasive control) per Florida CPBM guidelines and FDACS hazard reduction standards.
- Operate equipment (e.g., chainsaws, ATVs, tractors, hand tools) for firebreaks, mop-up, and erosion control.
- Conduct biological monitoring, invasive species treatment (herbicides/manual), and habitat restoration.
- Maintain fleet, facilities, and fire cache in ready status; gather fire weather data.
- Work as part of burn crews, following safety protocols under Licensed Burn Manager supervision.
- Perform physical work in hazardous terrain; support national deployments for revenue-generating incidents.
- Other duties as assigned, including database updates for land management records.
Requirements:
- High school diploma; 1-3 years in wildland fire management (prescribed fire experience preferred).
- NWCG Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2) certification attained and/or willingness to qualify.
- Knowledge of Southeastern ecology, plant/animal species, and safe equipment operation per Florida Statutes Ch. 590.
- Physical ability for demanding work (e.g., arduous pack test); willingness to work in inclement weather.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable record; CDL (Class A or B) nice-to-have.
- Good interpersonal skills; ability to work independently or in teams under pressure.
