If yes, you may be the ATS engineer who advances our precision reliability culture while upholding our safety standards and regulatory obligations.

What you will do
  • Live the ATS safety culture and hold the bar on regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Co-create engineered improvements with internal and external customer teams to increase reliability and flow.
  • Identify high-value capital replacement opportunities and communicate clear ROI.
  • Institutionalize operating systems, critical elements, and best practices for precision maintenance.
  • Apply precision tools and methods daily; develop and sustain ESMPs using RCM principles.
  • Integrate predictive, preventive, and precision maintenance to control risk before failures and optimize execution.
  • Perform and facilitate FMEA to prioritize actions and mitigate failure modes.
  • Coach teams using advanced Work Execution Management to close reliability strategy gaps.
  • Lead ATS Root Cause investigations, Bad Actor elimination, and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Partner with leadership to align ATS and customer KPIs and ensure sustained performance.
You’ll fit this role if you have
  • An ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent heavy industrial maintenance, reliability, or operations experience.
  • Five or more years in reliability engineering.
  • Fluency with the reliability toolkit, including RCA, RCM, and FMEA.
  • Master-level capability in predictive technologies.
  • Vibration I and Infrared I Certifications.
  • Strong machine health monitoring expertise.
  • Hands-on coaching experience with WEM.
  • Solid technical foundation in electrical or mechanical components, tools, and design.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver FMEA, cause-and-effect diagrams, root cause failure analysis, life-cycle costing, and risk analysis.
  • Track record of researching and applying emerging equipment technologies and trends.
  • Exceptional analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Comfort with maintenance systems and Microsoft Office; strong presentation and facilitation.
  • Excellent technical writing and reporting.
  • Ability to cultivate professional relationships and lead cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
  • Aspirations to move into leadership.
  • Experience with data trend analysis; vibration analysis; motor current analysis; oil analysis; lubrication and hydraulic testing; laser alignment; nondestructive testing; infrared thermography; ultrasound technology; acoustic reliability technology; Weibull analysis; and Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, NETA, EPA, and OSHA.
  • Ultrasound I; Maintenance Lubrication Analyst I.
  • CMRP/ARP/CRP/CRL certifications.
  • Green Belt and STS certifications.

Environment and physical expectations
  • Frequent standing, walking, manual work with hands, reaching, and climbing/balancing; regular stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; clear communication by talking/hearing; occasional sitting.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move items over 50 pounds.
  • Regular use of close and color vision.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions and electrical shock risk.
  • Work primarily in a factory environment that is usually very loud, with potential exposure to hazardous materials and greasy or slippery floors.
