Core Responsibilities
- Perform intermediate-to-advanced preventive and corrective maintenance to industry standards.
- Diagnose root causes by observing equipment in operation; disassemble assemblies, inspect components, make precise adjustments, replace defective parts, and verify operation.
- Execute electrical and mechanical testing; troubleshoot hardware, software, and configuration issues within control systems.
- Recondition and repair machine tools; operate metalworking equipment (lathe, drill press, grinder) and perform welding when required.
- Identify and procure parts, supplies, and repair materials efficiently.
- Leverage predictive maintenance tools to collect performance data and inform decisions.
- Maintain rigorous 5S and housekeeping practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting process enhancements, measurable results, and cost savings.
- Document work meticulously in the CMMS and review historical records to guide actions.
- Assist junior technicians and provide direction to small groups as needed; take on advanced duties to support your own development.
- Commit to ongoing learning through on-the-job experiences and technical self-study.
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, instructions, and guidelines; remain situationally aware and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- One of the following: Associate degree with a technical emphasis and 3 years of related general-industry experience; or 5 years of related general-industry experience; or completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
- Proficient understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems; skilled in troubleshooting and repair.
- Comfortable using standard and specialized hand tools.
- Willingness to travel if required.
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, manual dexterity with hands/fingers, reaching, climbing/ascending/descending or balancing (including use of ladders or lifts), stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling in confined spaces; clear communication by talking and hearing.
- Occasional sitting; ability to lift and move more than 50 pounds on occasion.
- Regular need for close and color vision.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather and electrical shock hazards.
- Factory setting that is generally very loud, with possible exposure to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery floors.
Salary : $28 - $33
