Diagnostic Service Technologist (Electro-Mechanical)

• Do you enjoy tracing faults down to individual components and bringing equipment back to life?
• Can you explain complex issues clearly to customers when needed?
• Do you like building fixtures, analyzing warranty returns, and improving how work gets done?

• Diagnose and repair electronic and mechanical equipment/tooling at the component level with intermediate complexity.
• Support basic product development activities to refine designs and serviceability.
• Handle occasional customer communications to provide updates and guidance.
• Build test fixtures under general supervision.
• Perform warranty analysis to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Complete and submit all service reports and related documentation.
• Actively participate in the ATS Culture Initiative: drive continuous improvement, measure process performance, complete required quality core classes, use the Basic Principles, and follow company/customer safety procedures.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school and 1–3 years of related experience/training; or 5 years of equivalent combined education and experience.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports/correspondence and speak effectively before customer or employee groups.
• Perform calculations (proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume) and apply basic algebra, physics, and geometry.
• Apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and resolve problems with multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
• General knowledge of electronics with intermediate-to-complex troubleshooting ability.
• Basic understanding of schematics, parts breakdowns, and blueprints.
