What are the responsibilities and job description for the MED SOCIAL WORKER-MSW position at Atrium Medical Center?
Provides direct and indirect clinical social work and discharge planning services for patients and their families in various inpatient and outpatient settings. Participates as a professional team member in patient care planning along with other hospital and community agency personnel.
Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work required.
Licensure: Licensure with the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Work and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. LSW required, LISW preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a health care setting or other social service
Agency required. 3-5 years of experience preferred.
Skills/Other: Must possess strong clinical, interpersonal skills. Must possess strong communication skills, both in verbal skills and in writing skills. Must possess ability to work in a busy, stressful environment, and be able to work independently. Current knowledge of medical terminology, Medicare/Medicaid and third party payor requirements preferred. Basic Computer Skills required.
