Physical Requirements And Working Conditions
Must be able to use visual near and distance acuity. Must have verbal ability to communicate in person and over the phone or radio. Must be able to assist co-workers in transfers and transport supplies, patients/residents, or equipment using good body mechanics. Must have functional range of motion of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines, upper and lower extremities with a grip strength of 60-80 pounds, specific to the job class evaluation. Must be able to forward reach, overhead reach, bend, squat, kneel and change from one position to the other rapidly. Must be able to lift 25-60 lbs. and carry 25-50 pounds specific to job class evaluation. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to tolerate high noise, busy atmospheres, outdoor temperatures, and noxious odors. Must be able to work in noisy environments and be self-directed to complete jobs as ordered. Must be able to remain calm under stressful situations. Must be able to assess and respond to multiple situations simultaneously. Must be able to assist co-workers in multiple overlapping tasks simultaneously. Must be able to prioritize job tasks and organize workspace to be efficient and conducive to completing work tasks as assigned in a timely manner.

Job Profile Summary The Parking Officer performs parking-related duties on all properties owned by Atrium Health Navicent that are necessary to support safety and security, with or without advanced notice. Issues parking citations; collects parking fees; conducts mobile and foot patrols in the parking decks and lots; maintains parking equipment; completes necessary paperwork to include daily reports; performs parking office duties when assigned; enters permit data and violations; and performs clerical duties; may operate departmental vehicles and is responsible for general condition and cleanliness of assigned vehicle. May assist in traffic direction duties in parking decks and parking lots.

Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily shifts cash reports, count money and make change.
- Perform minor ticket dispensing equipment and gate arm repair for normal operation.
- Checks ticket dispending equipment and adds tickets as necessary.
- Patrols parking decks and lots by foot and mobile patrol to ensure employees have decal permits displayed n vehicles and takes enforcement action when necessary for compliance.
- Maintains the booth and surrounding area in a neat and clean manner.
- In the event fee computers or other automated calculating devices are inoperable, employee must have the capacity to calculate parking fees manually and apply complimentary passes when requested.
- Greets the public with courtesy and respect and maintains composure with difficult customers.
