About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned, highly skilled Equipment Technician to join our client's manufacturing team. In this role, you will own the reliability, maintenance, and optimization of complex automated manufacturing systems. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, lead minor technical projects, and provide mentorship and guidance to lower-level technicians on the floor.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Assist with equipment setup, installation, and commissioning for new or modified manufacturing equipment.
- Support equipment calibration activities and ensure equipment meets required specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities, failures, or performance trends to engineering teams.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Support root cause investigations for equipment failures and assist with implementation of corrective actions.
- Perform equipment changeovers, adjustments, and basic process setup to support production needs.
- Maintain equipment logs, maintenance records, and calibration documentation to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with manufacturing and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant equipment maintenance experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven capability in reading and interpreting complex schematics, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with equipment calibration and the use of diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters).
- Experience working under strict quality frameworks and familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) or GMP environments.
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal engineering and production teams; a collaborative mindset with the ability to coach others.
