Responsibilities
- Data-Driven Diagnostics: Utilize automated Fault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) platforms—specifically Clockworks Analytics—to continuously analyze HVAC data, trends, and alarms to identify system faults and inefficiencies.
- Controls Optimization: Review mechanical drawings, system interactions, and BAS documentation to develop actionable engineering recommendations (e.g., control sequence improvements, setpoint adjustments, and scheduling optimization).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead recurring service meetings to present data-driven insights to local facility operations, energy teams, and external BAS vendors or controls contractors.
- Data Visualization: Create clear reports and technical visualizations to quantify operational, financial, and energy impacts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: 2 to 7 years of experience in HVAC systems, building operations, commissioning, or controls engineering (Targeting ~3–7 years).
Required Skills
- Technical Depth:
- Strong working knowledge of airside and central plant HVAC systems.
- Deep understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and automation control strategies.
- Solid grasp of HVAC sequences of operation and system logic.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting technical information to diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Direct experience with Clockworks Analytics or similar automated FDD platforms.
- Experience navigating advanced, enterprise-level BAS platforms (e.g., Niagara-based systems), reviewing control logic, and adjusting front-ends.
