What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler I position at ATR International?
We are looking for an Operator I for a very important client.
Day Shift: 5am - 1:30pm $19/hr
Swing Shift: 3pm - 11:30pm $21.18
Technical Execution
- Device Assembly: Perform entry-level assembly and testing of life-saving medical electronics, such as pacemakers and heart monitors.
- Standardized Workflow: Follow detailed, step-by-step technical instructions to ensure product consistency and safety.
- Supervised Training: Execute tasks under close guidance, utilizing feedback from frequent quality reviews to refine technical skills.
Communication & Professionalism
- Clear communication of any equipment issues or process discrepancies to the manufacturing leadership team.
- Maintain a collaborative attitude within the manufacturing team and represent the facility professionally during site tours.
- Work with supervisors to understand and meet production quotas and personal growth milestones.
Safety & Process Improvement
- Regulatory Awareness: Operate within the framework of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and environmental safety standards.
- Safety Protocols: Maintain a zero-incident environment by strictly adhering to safety guidelines and using required protective gear.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to team initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and manufacturing profitability.
Candidate Qualifications - Instructional Literacy: Ability to read, comprehend, and execute complex written procedures and verbal directions.
- Technical Proficiency: Competence in using electronic data collection systems and standard computer software.
- Task Prioritization: Skill in sequencing work based on urgency, precedence, and operational importance.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to maneuver and assemble extremely small components and fragile parts.
- Decision Making: Capability to make critical judgments with minimal supervision once trained.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Cleanroom & Safety Dress Code
- Fabric Integrity: All clothing must be non-shedding, tightly woven, and free of loose threads, frayed hems, or shedding fibers (no fleece, sweaters, or loose knits).
- Gowning Compliance: All clothing from the waist up must fit entirely under a lab coat or gown; sleeves and collars must not protrude past the gown’s cuffs or neckline.
- Prohibited Embellishments: No glitter, sequins, tassels, fringes, or loose items that could become dislodged in the manufacturing cell.
- Safety Footwear: Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes are mandatory (no sandals, clogs, or open weaves). Heels must be stable and under 2 inches; socks or stockings are required.
- Coverage Standards: Torsos, upper arms, and legs must be fully covered. Pants or skirts must reach the ankle; sleeveless tops and short shirts are prohibited.
- Hygiene & Grooming:
- Nails: No nail polish, acrylics, or artificial coatings.
- Makeup: No makeup or scented products (except deodorant) are permitted.
- Jewelry: No jewelry or piercings that could puncture gloves or remain uncovered by protective gear.
- Headwear: Caps and hats are prohibited. Religious or custom head wraps must be tightly woven, clean, and fully tucked under the bouffant cap and gown.
