Job Title: Business Analyst - Dynamics 365 Business Central

Summary

The Business Analyst serves as the functional and technical resource for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, related integrations, and operational reporting. This role supports multiple businesses within the Atonne Group family of companies and will be a key contributor to developing our ERP support function.

This is a growth role that focuses on hands‑on development, system configuration, workflow automation, and Power BI reporting, while working closely with operations, accounting, and external partners. The position is responsible for system enhancements, configurations, and process improvements in partnership with business stakeholders and 3rd party consulting translating business needs into scalable, supportable solutions.

The ideal candidate combines ERP development skills (especially with Dynamics 365) or software development skills (especially .NET) with a practical understanding of manufacturing, remanufacturing, and distribution workflows, and experience working across Power Platform and Power BI. Additionally, this role is expected to be regularly working in person, onsite at our office and within our family of companies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with architecture, design, and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Sales, Accounting) to translate operational requirements into BC solutions.
  • Assist with training, documentation, and post-go-live support for Dynamics 365 BC applications.
  • Assist with defining and adhering to best practices, coding standards, and governance for Business Central.
  • Assist with BC development, customizations, reports, integrations, and solutions with 3rd party assistance as needed.
  • Support integration between Business Central and third‑party systems (shipping, tax, reporting, MES, etc).
  • Develop and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards using Business Central and related data sources.
  • Coordinate technical work with external consultants and/or senior staff.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and standardize business processes.
  • Obsess over customer experience and deliver exceptional service that delights our customers.
  • Manage ticket board providing timely service and support to stakeholders and customers within SLAs.
  • Participate in on-call schedule; assist with and adhere to standards and procedures for problem, incident, and change management, as well as disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend innovations that improve the business.
  • Develop technical and business proficiency through education, research, work assignments, and technical/user group participation; demonstrate practical application of learning and actively share knowledge.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.


Skills

  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred; experience in competing platforms acceptable (e.g. SAP, Infor, Acumatica, etc).
  • Experience with Power Automate, including building Power BI reports and dashboards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and system‑to‑system integrations is a plus.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, remanufacturing, distribution, or wholesale operations.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and value to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn.
  • Project management skills a plus, including managing tasks, resources, timelines, and communications.
  • Effective time and task management completing work on time while prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Functional experience in ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Infor, Dynamics 365) or .NET software development required.
  • Experience in manufacturing, remanufacturing, distribution, or wholesale business preferred.
  • Experience in Accounting and Business Finance is a plus.
  • Power Platform and PowerBI experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with databases, cloud environments (Azure preferred), and M365 integrations is a plus.

Physical & Working Conditions
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with reasonable accommodations.
  • Frequent sitting and occasional standing; use of hands for typing and handling office equipment.
  • Production facility work center shadowing as needed to understand and validate system implications.
  • Light lifting and carrying of office materials (up to 20 lbs; occasionally up to 30 lbs).
  • Vision requirements include close vision for computer work and ability to adjust focus.
  • Typical office environment with moderate noise (phones, printers); ergonomic workstation setup.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • In non-office areas, safety gear (eye protection, protective shoes, hearing protection) may be required.
