What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hardware Engineer position at Atomica?
Do you want to play a role in the next generation of technologies improving the planet? We build tiny technologies (MEMS) that empower tomorrow's innovations.
Summary:
This hardware engineering position partners closely with the test engineering team to develop integrated hardware and software test platforms. These platforms support system-level benchtop characterization, wafer-level probing interfaces, and FPGA-to-socket solutions for outsourced production testing. Responsibilities include test platform bring-up through PCB schematic and layout design, as well as development of autonomous test programs for simple and robust operator-driven execution.
The role also collaborates with the applications team to design and implement hardware and software for customer R&D evaluation and characterization. This position directly supports Cenfire’s customer discovery initiatives and product inventory efforts. It requires advanced board designs for characterizing high-power, low leakage/capacitance, and high-speed/RF applications.
Responsibilities:
Want to live in paradise? Life in Santa Barbara is just that. Cenfire is sandwiched between the beautiful Santa Ynez mountains and the pristine Central California coastline. The weather? Absolutely gorgeous. No more shoveling snow or hiding from tornadoes!
Within 5-minutes from the office, you will find rich local culture, world class schools, airport for convenient travel, festivals, and excellent options to wine and dine.
We have had employees move from all over the country and say life has never been better!
