We are a commercial millwork company that specializes in trim, cabinetry, and solid surface countertops for commercial projects, both new construction and remodels.
SUMMARY OF ROLE OBJECTIVES FOR EACH POSITION

Shop Manager/Foreman
- Proven Leadership: 10 years of experience managing teams in a production or manufacturing setting.
- Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines.
- Lead and develop a team of shop employees, ensuring alignment with company values and objectives.
- Implement and refine SOPs to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.
- Manage production schedules, coordinating with project managers to meet project milestones.
- Ensure all shop processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring timely procurement of materials.
- Utilize company software, including Procore, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office, for tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure seamless transitions from fabrication to installation.
- Provide clear reporting on shop performance, production progress, labor hours, and resource utilization.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with employees to provide feedback, set goals, and maintain accountability.
- Monitor financial performance, ensuring efficient budget management and cost control.
- Enforce company policies related to HR, scheduling, conflict resolution, and leadership development.
- Participate in company-led professional development, including book discussions and leadership training.

Shop Carpenter
- Know and understand the Core Values, Mission Statement and Vision Statement of Atlas Woodworks LLC. Demonstrate alignment with company values both on and off duty.
- Interpret blueprints and construction documents to grasp project scope and requirements comprehensively.
- Confidently perform basic mathematical functions, including fractions
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn company software including ProCore, Google, Microsoft Office, Gmail, and others.
- Cut and work various building materials with safety and precision.
- Fabricate and install items with precision, meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain clear communication with project managers, superintendents, and team members.
- Accurately report hours worked, production, discrepancies, and completed tasks to supervisors.
- Document all processes meticulously and provide regular progress updates.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with job site superintendents.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Manage an organized work area, and ensure all Atlas Woodworks vehicles and equipment are well-maintained.
- Ensure all activities align with the agreed-upon plans and specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Comfortably work from a ladder or scaffolding
- Operate hand tools and power tools comfortably, confidently, and safely
- Properly store, maintain, and perform minor repairs on hand tools and power tools
- Own and bring a set of specified tools each day
- Recruit and train your replacement
$14-$25/hour depending on experience
COMPETENCIES
- Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
- Input and updating of information in various platforms (Excel, Google Suite, Procore, etc.)
- Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
- Strong communication skills for directing team members and prioritizing goals.
- Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Construction experience required
- Management experience preferred
- Must be comfortable and demonstrate awareness when using tools.
- Must demonstrate competencies in carpentry skills and team leadership.
- Valid driver’s license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of working on your feet.
- Prolonged periods of standing and moving around various job sites.
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds at a time but if you can lift it one handed over your head we will be impressed.
