Atlas Staffing is hiring a Quality Manager for a growing precision sheet metal fabrication manufacturing company in Liberty Lake, WA. This role owns the Quality Management System, leads ISO compliance work, and drives continuous improvement across the plant. You’ll be a key partner to leadership and operations, with a clear mandate to raise the bar on quality.
Job Summary
The Quality Manager leads quality assurance and compliance across manufacturing operations. You will maintain ISO 9001:2008 compliance, support the transition to ISO 9001:2015, and oversee on-site UL processes. You’ll also lead corrective actions, audits, and improvement work to reduce defects and strengthen customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Own the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain ISO 9001:2008 compliance
Plan and execute internal audits, document findings, and drive corrective actions
Lead preparation for external ISO and UL audits, serve as the primary point of contact
Manage on-site UL compliance, documentation, inspections, and follow-up actions
Partner with engineering and production to ensure product designs and processes meet UL requirements
Train teams on ISO, UL, and quality best practices
Lead continuous improvement efforts using root cause analysis, lean tools, and data-driven methods
Oversee inspections, testing, and quality documentation (first articles, samples, final certification)
Work with customers to resolve quality concerns and protect satisfaction
Collaborate with suppliers to maintain standards for incoming materials and components
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
3 years in quality assurance or quality management in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, including internal auditing and corrective action systems
UL compliance experience and on-site audit leadership strongly preferred
Familiarity with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis
Strong documentation, organization, and cross-functional communication skills
