Now Hiring: CNC Turning Machine Operator
Location: Prior Lake, MN
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30 am – 4:30 pm
Pay: $24–$35/hr
Employment Type: Full-time, temp-to-hire
About this Opportunity:
We are partnering with a manufacturing company in Prior Lake, MN, specializing in precision machining.
This role is ideal for someone with previous machine operator experience who enjoys a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Set up, operate, and monitor lathes and turning equipment, including loading materials, installing cutting tools, adjusting machine settings, and running production cycles.
- Read blueprints and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements, while monitoring machines for tool wear, vibrations, or errors.
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping, including clearing chips, applying coolant, cleaning equipment, and completing routine checks.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- Previous machine operator experience required, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent and the ability to read blueprints and understand basic machine mechanics.
- Strong shop math, measuring, and problem-solving skills, including an understanding of dimensions, tolerances, speeds, and feeds.
- Machine setup experience is required
- Ability to stand for extended periods, maintain good manual dexterity, and safely lift and handle heavy metal stock.
