What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Operations position at Atlas Search?
VP, Reconciliations
An established global investment platform is seeking a hands-on VP to lead its reconciliation function. This seat owns the full framework across cash, positions, accruals, and OTE, working across a broad product set and supporting a multi-strategy environment with significant complexity and scale. The role sits at the center of operations, partnering with senior leadership, fund accounting, technology, and external providers to ensure a tight control environment and a highly efficient operating model.
You’ll take full ownership of daily and monthly recs across custodians, brokers, and internal systems, designing and enhancing controls, overseeing external vendors, and driving governance around breaks, documentation, and root-cause remediation. The team leans heavily on collaboration, so you’ll be a key partner in aligning standards, improving workflows, and ensuring recs support the pace and breadth of the platform.
This leader will manage a small team, set quality expectations, and strengthen cross-functional communication. You’ll also push automation, implement new tools, and partner with technology to elevate data quality, workflow efficiency, and exception management.
Up to 400k all in total compensation!

• Strong understanding of product lifecycle events and their impact on accounting and recs
• Deep familiarity with investment accounting systems (VPM, Geneva, or similar) and broad product exposure across swaps, futures, fixed income, FX, OTC, and more
• Ability to diagnose high-risk exceptions and drive sustainable solutions across teams
• Experience strengthening controls, governance, and process design at scale
• Background managing and developing a team
• Comfort working with large data sets; strong Excel skills
• EZOps experience is a plus
