Senior Fund Accountant
Job Description
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and review capital calls, distribution notices, management fee calculations, and other routine fund activity
- Complete monthly cash reconciliations, expense schedules, and income allocations for assigned funds
- Build and review quarterly incentive allocation models based on partnership agreement terms
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, including Statements of Assets and Liabilities, Operations, Partners’ Capital, and Cash Flows, along with management reporting
- Support interim and year-end audits by preparing requested schedules and communicating with audit teams
- Coordinate investor communications through the investor portal, including notices, statements, and balance updates
- Respond to investor questions in partnership with the client’s internal team
- Track deadlines and manage deliverables to ensure all reporting, capital activity, and client requests are completed on time
- Participate in regular client calls to stay informed on fund activity and upcoming needs
- Develop working knowledge of core systems, including the fund accounting platform and document/CRM tools used by the client
Company Requirements
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience, ideally within private equity, fund administration, or alternative investment entities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Interest in taking on new tasks and supporting ad-hoc projects
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build clean, well-organized workbooks
- Experience with fund accounting systems such as Investran or similar platforms is a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on client service
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
- CPA is a plus but not required
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
