What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rates and Pricing Analyst position at Atlas Search?
Our client, a large law firm, is looking for a Rates and Pricing Analyst. You'll work with attorneys and firm leadership across practice groups to shape rate strategy, evaluate client profitability, and support smarter pricing decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze client rates, realization, and profitability to find ways to improve financial results
- Review existing rate agreements and billing trends, working with attorneys and the billing team to strengthen client economics
- Support the firm's annual rate process and periodic client reviews with historical analysis, benchmarking, and market research
- Build matter budgets and pricing models for alternative fee arrangements, proposals, and RFPs
- Track budget-to-actual results and use past outcomes to improve future pricing
- Partner with Finance, Billing, Marketing, and Business Development on pricing initiatives
- Prepare clear reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders
Qualifications
- 2 years of related experience in a law firm or professional services firm
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Experience with pricing of legal services preferred, which includes a strong working knowledge of non-hourly pricing models.
- Law firm experience is highly preffered
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
