Technical Accounting Manager
Overview
A growing financial services organization is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its corporate finance team. This individual will play a key role in legal entity accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, and SEC reporting for multiple corporate entities while partnering closely with accounting, legal, treasury, tax, and finance leadership.
This position offers broad exposure to complex transactions, legal entity accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement within a dynamic financial services environment.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Support external financial reporting and SEC filing processes
- Assist with technical accounting research and implementation
- Coordinate month-end and quarter-end close activities
Legal Entity Accounting
- Maintain accounting records for multiple legal entities
- Prepare journal entries related to investments, financing activities, accruals, cash, and intercompany transactions
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses
- Monitor entity-level financial activity and reporting requirements
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Tax, and Finance teams
- Support new transactions, entity restructurings, and strategic initiatives
- Assist with external audits and regulatory reporting requirements
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and internal controls
- Assist with accounting systems enhancements and automation initiatives
- Support implementation of best practices across the finance organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA required
- 3–10 years of accounting experience
- Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
- Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge
- Financial reporting experience
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- ERP experience preferred
- Excellent communication and project management skills
Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
