Director, SOX – Business Process | High-Growth Technology | AI Infrastructure
A rapidly scaling AI infrastructure and cloud technology company is hiring a Director of SOX – Business Process to lead and mature its SOX compliance program during a period of significant growth and transformation.
This is a highly visible leadership role for a seasoned SOX professional who enjoys building scalable, risk-forward control environments and partnering cross-functionally across Finance, Operations, IT, and Legal.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Director of SOX, you will own the end-to-end SOX program for business processes, including control design, testing, remediation, and continuous improvement. You’ll lead internal teams and co-sourced partners while helping evolve the company’s internal control environment to support rapid growth.
This role offers meaningful influence over how controls are designed, automated, and operationalized in a dynamic, high-change environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full SOX lifecycle across business processes (design, testing, remediation, optimization)
- Partner closely with Finance, Operations, IT, Legal, and process owners to drive compliance
- Oversee and manage co-sourced SOX providers and internal teams
- Navigate and remediate control deficiencies efficiently and effectively
- Enhance and automate the control environment while maintaining compliance
- Drive continuous improvement and scalability of SOX processes
- Support external auditor relationships and audit readiness
- Build, lead, and develop a team of SOX professionals
- Drive accountability through strong project management and cross-functional coordination
- Leverage tools such as AuditBoard to improve execution and visibility

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 10 years of SOX / internal audit experience
- Proven experience leading SOX programs end-to-end
- Strong background working with external auditors and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong project management and leadership skills
Preferred
- CPA, CIA, or CISA
- Big 4 background plus in-house SOX leadership experience
- Experience in pre-IPO and/or newly public companies
- Technology or infrastructure industry experience
- AuditBoard experience
Salary : $165,000 - $240,000
