CFO/Vice President of Finance

CFO/VP of Finance | Real Estate Family Office | New York, NY

We’re partnering with a well-established real estate family office with a multi-decade track record investing across core and value-add assets in major global markets. The firm manages a diversified portfolio spanning retail, office, industrial, residential, and hospitality, alongside select private equity investments.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role reporting directly to ownership, offering broad exposure across accounting, investor relations, and strategic finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end financial reporting across a multi-entity real estate portfolio

• Oversee cash management, AP/AR, and liquidity forecasting

• Lead investor reporting including capital calls, distributions, and K-1s

• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and property managers

• Support acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing, and 1031 exchanges

• Assist with deal structuring and strategic investment initiatives

• Oversee entity formations, compliance filings, and annual reporting

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance initiatives

Qualifications:

• 10 years of accounting/finance experience with real estate exposure

• Strong understanding of partnership accounting, waterfalls, and fund structures

• Experience with investor reporting, capital activity, and multi-entity environments

• CPA preferred

• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Yardi, AppFolio, QuickBooks, or similar systems

• Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with high ownership
