What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Atlas Search?
We are partnering with a leading financial services firm that is looking to add an Accountant to their growing team. This is a fantastic contract opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to showcase their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have 1–6 years of accounting experience within financial services, strong exposure to the month-end close process, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Prior experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Process cash transactions and perform bank reconciliations
Maintain accounting for fixed assets and prepaid expenses
Perform payroll-related accounting, including reconciliations to payroll provider records
Support the accounts payable process, including invoice review and journal entry preparation
Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries for expense accruals and equity-related transactions
Partner with senior team members on ad hoc projects and financial reporting initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting and/or financial services
Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
