What You’ll Do
- Collects and reports data regarding the health status of students under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse
- Assists with maintenance of student health records, including immunization records, and shares relevant information with Registered Nurse
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of all student health visits and health-related conversations with family/guardian in Power School
- Assists with routine vision and hearing screenings
- Performs student-specific delegated nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with the individualized health care plan
- Assists with daily monitoring of students per individualized health care plan (generalized)
- Exercise regular proficiency with diabetic monitoring including carb counting, insulin dosing, and diabetic care plan needs
- Screen students for the presence of infectious diseases, parasites, etc., and take appropriate action in accordance with Atlas policies
- Provides medically necessary, sound, and approved first aid to ill/injured students
- Consistently maintain current First Aid/CPR certifications
- Exercise proficiency with seizure care plan(s) and related emergency care (to include medication administration)
- Practice effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), to include communication with students, parents, co-workers, and supervisors
- Translate health-related documents and interpret health-related meetings/phone calls as needed
- Maintain confidential and sensitive information, with respect to all school, employee, and student-level data
- Exercise consistent maturity, humility, professionalism, confidence, and a strong work ethic
- Promote a positive culture of high expectations, continuous improvement, and a relentless focus on academic achievement for students
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly/Non-Exempt
- $18.50 – $21.73 per hour
- Full Time; Monday – Friday; Number of hours per week

- Compensation for non-exempt roles is not annualized and will be calculated based solely on actual hours worked.

Annual Calendar and Start Date
- 209 work days per academic year
- Start Date: January 12th, 2026.
*Prorated if employment begins after July 1, 2025.
Qualifications
Who You Are
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Must be able to pass required background screening pursuant to CRS § § 22-30.5-110.7
- Current First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to acquire within 30 days of employment
- A sincere belief in the mission of Atlas and that all children can meet high academic expectations
- Proficiency with office technology to include Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, electronic medical
- records, etc.
- Proficiency with basic health tools to include stethoscope, manual and electronic blood pressure
- monitors, pulse oximetry, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
- Health care experience working with pediatric/adolescent population ages 5-18
- Current CNA license and related skill competencies
- Bilingual with Spanish/English
Essential Functions
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed
- Must be able to successfully abide by all policies and procedures of Atlas Schools
