- Direct and escort students across busy streets, stopping traffic as necessary
- Utilize appropriate equipment to safely complete job responsibilities (safety vest, stop sign, etc.)
- Kindly and effectively communicate traffic and crossing rules to students and adults
- Report unsafe behavior of children to the Transportation Manager in a timely manner
- Assist and monitor the safety and behavioral expectations of students while crossing the street
- Fill in for bus monitors as needed
- Completed required training as necessary and assigned by supervisor
- Other related duties as assigned
- Hourly/Non-Exempt
- $17.50 - $20.55 per hour
- Part-Time; 10-15 hours per week
- Monday - Friday; 6:45 AM to 8:30 AM & 2:45 PM to 4:30 PM
- Both shifts are required.
- Approximately 13* weeks of school breaks
- Compensation for non-exempt roles is not annualized and will be calculated based solely on actual hours worked.
- Up to 48* hours of annual sick time
- Participation in the Colorado PERA retirement program (required in lieu of social security as a public employee)

- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Prorated if employment begins after July 1, 2025.
Who You Are
- Ability to pass required background screening pursuant to CRS
- 22-30.5-110.7
- Must be available Monday through Friday during required AM and PM shifts
- Must be reliable, able to report to work consistently, and regularly meet attendance expectations
- Must be able to maintain a friendly and positive demeanor around all staff and students
- Must be able to demonstrate professional behavior and maintain composure at all times
- Must be able to interact and work effectively with a diverse group of individuals
- Must value accountability, excellence, integrity, resilience, respect, and responsibility
- Must have the ability follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, and utilize appropriate safety equipment
- Previous experience working with kids, specifically within a school setting
- Bilingual; Spanish & English
- Must be able to stand for up to three hours at a time
- Must be able to jog or run as necessary for timely responses
- Must be able to tolerate various weather conditions to include snow/cold, wind, and summer heat
- Works with hands above shoulder height to safely display stop sign
- Must be able to fulfill all de-escalation techniques as indicated within CPI guidelines
- Must be able to abide by all policies and procedures of Atlas Schools
