Atlas Molded Products is seeking an Automation Technician for the Byron Center, MI facility.
Automation Technician Primary Responsibilities
- Test electronic or electrical circuits and connections
- Make changes and additions to ladder logic using a variety of PLC software
- Update controls on existing equipment (may require the use of PLC)
- Use hand and power tools
- Use Multimeter and other testing devices
- Program VFD
- Document and understand control schematics
- Modify HMI displays
- Control and maintain access into PLC and other computer-controlled machinery
- Adjust or set mechanical controls or components
Automation Technician Experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.
Automation Technician Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must understand ladder and controls logic
- Must have proficient troubleshooting skills using a variety of PLC software
- Must have general understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
Automation Technician Education, Licenses & Certifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Automation Technician Additional Information
- Moderate to heavy physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling.
- Machine specific knowledge in:
- Siemens
- Automation Direct
- Allen Bradley
- Mitsubishi
