Position Overview:
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects, from initial planning to completion. This position ensures that projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, and in compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company quality expectations.
Job Specifications:
- Supervise and coordinate all field activities and subcontractors on construction sites.
- Maintain project schedule and report progress to the project manager.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols on-site.
- Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work is being performed in accordance with design and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, architects, engineers, and vendors.
- Maintain daily reports, logs, and documentation of job site activities.
- Manage site logistics, including deliveries, equipment, and materials.
- Resolve conflicts and issues that may arise during construction.
- Enforce site cleanliness and orderliness.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in commercial or residential construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of managing construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and schedules.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA 10 and 30 certification preferred.
