Swamper
Essential Functions, Roles And Responsibilities
- Support wellhead technicians in preparation / load out / unloading of primary and support equipment or tooling necessary to complete field service wellsite activities as they relate to internal and external customer expectations.
- Ensures all equipment, tooling, service equipment required per sales order and dispatch load out requirements
- Ensures returned service tickets are complete and up to standards
- Reconciles inventory from service ticket to warehouse
- Loading and unloading wellhead equipment, valves, flanges, spools, and tools
- Loading and unload technician’s vehicles
- Maintaining a safe and clean yard / warehouse
- Cleaning, organizing, and staging equipment for field jobs
- Pulling orders and preparing shipments
- Assisting with inventory counts and material tracking
- Banding, palletizing, crating, and securing equipment
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or overhead cranes
- Washing, inspecting, or pressure-cleaning returned equipment
- Sign off for equipment being staged and loaded onto service trucks
- Conducts and documents all components, quantities, description and condition of equipment meet sales order requirements or dispatch notes
- Conducts and documents all components, quantities, description and condition of equipment upon the field service technicians return to facility
- Assists with documenting and tracking rental equipment prior to and after use in the field
- Occasionally and as directed by Field Service Management, directly assist lead technicians with the installation, testing, and maintenance of wellhead equipment, tooling and systems
- Maintains open communication between field service managers, dispatch, field service technicians on any equipment discrepancies, worn, broken or missing rental tooling and equipment
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- Forklift Certification, Overhead Crane Certifications, Safeland Certification, and all other certifications, licenses, and registrations required by HSSE and Field Service Management
- This job requires mechanical aptitude, ability to communicate verbally and written instructions and work as a single contributor and in a team environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Requires regular lifting / moving of heavy equipment and materials
- Standing up to 12-hour shifts, bending and occasionally working in narrow spaces
- Regular use of PPE during work shifts
- Routinely works with onsite mechanic and other APC personnel to repair / redress equipment as necessary
- Regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Normally work in a warehouse environment
- Occasionally may be exposed to hazards such as loud noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, electrical equipment, high pressure testing
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- 3 Years’ experience in Oil and Gas preferred
- Experience with Drilling and Production equipment
- Experience with ERP Systems such as Fishbowl, Netsuite, or SAP
