Duties
- Administer botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and skin evaluations.
- Educate patients on treatment options, expected outcomes, post-procedure care, and potential risks.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic standards.
- Utilize sterile techniques during procedures, including aseptic technique for injections and laser treatments.
- Operate advanced aesthetic equipment such as esthetic lasers, ensuring proper calibration and safety measures.
- Monitor patients during and after procedures for adverse reactions or complications.
- Collaborate with proivder(s) on complex cases involving dermatology, ophthalmology, or other specialties related to aesthetic medicine.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in aesthetic nursing practices through ongoing education.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with current registration; experience in dermatology or aesthetic nursing preferred.
- Proven experience administering injections, including botulinum toxin treatment and dermal fillers preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to aesthetic procedures.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous.
- Experience working within sterile environments using aseptic technique during procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively about treatment plans and expectations.
- Knowledge of medical documentation standards including ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting.
- Additional skills such as laser treatment certification or experience in ophthalmology are a plus but not required.
