What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mastercam CNC Programming Specialist — Advanced Plastics & Composites position at Atlas Fibre?
Shape precision from code: your day at Atlas Fibre
Step onto our Northbrook, IL production floor and turn complex CAD into flawless parts. As a Mastercam-focused CNC Programming Specialist, you’ll partner with machinists and engineers to transform composite laminates and high-performance plastics into high-tolerance components for a range of industries.
A day in the life
You’ll review CAD models, craft efficient toolpaths in Mastercam, and build robust setups. Throughout the day you’ll collaborate at the machine, validate strategies, and fine-tune tool selection and feeds/speeds. When a cycle time can be shaved or a tolerance gets tight, you jump in—optimizing code, troubleshooting in-process issues, and documenting best practices so the next run is even better.
What you will tackle
This position may require access to export-controlled information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be authorized to access controlled information under U.S. export control laws and regulations.
You Should Be Proficient In
Atlas Fibre is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability.
