Accounts Receivable Clerk

Position Summary The Accounts Receivable Clerk will process and maintain vendor and customer transactions and corresponding general ledger accounts.  Work Environment and Expectations This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly in office position.   Schedule is Monday – Friday Starting pay is $24 to $25 per hour  Benefits Each eligible employee receives a competitive compensation package including:  Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance Long-Term Disability Company match on 401K  Paid Vacation, Holidays, and Sick Days.  Qualifications Two years of related experience  High School Diploma or equivalent Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred Advanced knowledge and efficient use of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage data quickly and accurately Familiarity with general accounting systems and procedures and computer programs  Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.   Duties and Responsibilities Assist with coding and entering vendor invoices, paying manual/ out of cycle checks, and processing weekly payment runs Reconcile credit card statements and customer accounts as needed Contact vendors and reconcile outstanding payments Design and implement filing and reporting systems as related to position  Assist with entering daily cash receipts Process Credit memos Possibility of backup on Monthly Billing Process Assist with audits as needed Create Spreadsheets and Maneuver Data using Microsoft Excel Other responsibilities as assigned to support specific department/business needs About Us Atlas Disposal Industries was established in March of 1998, by a group of property owners, in response to the new recycling mandates that were passed by the State of California.
