Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and driver to join our team as a cargo van owner operator. This role involves operating various types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks, and performing warehouse duties such as loading, unloading, and moving goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, driving experience, and the ability to handle physical tasks safely and efficiently.
- Safely commercial vehicles, including manual transmission models, for route driving and deliveries
- Load and unload cargo manual lifting techniques
- Deliver goods to customers while maintaining professional customer service standards
- Follow designated routes efficiently and accurately to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and route logs
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during all operations
Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services preferred
- Warehouse experience pallet jack use is advantageous
- Knowledge of route driving and navigation in urban or suburban areas
- Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and communication skills
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks safely for extended periods
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to heavy lifting, moving goods, and vehicle operation
- Must be able to use our delivery app efficiently.
