Are you our next Service Technician?
As a Service Technician, you will provide on-site technical assistance at the customer location to help install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize hardware and software for the company's parts feeding and assembly equipment. Ability and willingness to travel is a necessary component of this position.
Here's how you'll make an impact:
- Installs new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
- Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives, and inspects malfunctioning or damaged equipment to determine nature and scope of problem.
- Analyzes equipment to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
- Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
- Maintains service records and reports.
- Develops service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations, engineering changes, and overall knowledge of product.
- Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
- Develops and conducts training on operation of the equipment and demonstrates skills to customers.
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and to make metric system conversions
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and other manufacturing instructions
- Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and machine tools such as drill press, band saw, cut-off saw and grinder
- Basic knowledge of carpentry and pneumatics a plus
- Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees.
