This role combines hands on clinical practice with genuine leadership, within a hospital known for delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a collaborative, growth focused culture.
As Medical Director, you will guide a team of experienced emergency and specialty veterinarians while maintaining a strong clinical presence on the floor three to four days a week. You will work closely with a skilled administrative team, including a Hospital Administrator and Clinical Director, helping to shape the strategic direction of the hospital. Responsibilities include mentoring colleagues, developing compliance protocols, leading team meetings, and setting the medical and operational standards for the practice.
The hospital holds an excellent reputation within the Chattanooga community, backed by hundreds of five star reviews. The facility is equipped with onsite CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, advanced surgical suites, oxygen cages, transfusion capabilities, and 24/7 critical care monitoring.
The ideal candidate is a board certified or residency trained emergency and critical care veterinarian with previous leadership experience, a strong foundation in emergency medicine and diagnostics, and a passion for mentoring others and building a positive team culture.
This role comes with an industry leading compensation package, including a base salary of up to $250,000 plus production, a $50,000 sign on bonus, $10,000 relocation assistance, and eligibility for annual performance bonuses, alongside a full benefits package.

About You:
- Hold a Tennessee veterinary state license in good standing, or be eligible to obtain one
- Strong background in emergency and critical care medicine
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred
- Board certified or residency trained in emergency and critical care preferred
- Committed to practicing gold-standard veterinary medicine
