What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Veterinarian position at Atlas Consultancy Group?
This is a first-opinion small animal clinic in Cottonwood Heights with an appointment book built almost entirely on returning clients and word of mouth. The practice has been in the community long enough that most people coming through the door already know the team. It is not an urgent care model, though the clinic handles urgent cases when they come up. The day runs on a set schedule and generally holds to it.
The caseload covers the full range of general practice: wellness and prevention, chronic disease management, dermatology, dentistry, advanced diagnostics, and both routine and more involved soft tissue surgery. The hospital has invested in modern equipment and in-house diagnostics, so cases can be worked up properly before deciding on a plan. Internal specialist access is available when something needs a second opinion, which means referrals are not the automatic next step for every complex presentation.
The team is six DVMs led by a medical director with over 25 years of experience across small and large animal medicine, surgery, and animal health leadership. The RVT team is experienced and handles anesthesia, monitoring, and patient prep, so you are not being pulled away from clinical work to manage the floor.
