Duties
- Prepare detailed and accurate construction estimates using Planswift, and other estimating software.
- Develop project budgets, pricing strategies, and cost control measures to ensure profitability.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to assess scope of work and identify potential risks or issues.
- Negotiate contracts, change orders, and scope adjustments with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Coordinate with construction site teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Oversee project schedules, resource allocation, and procurement activities to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to control costs and maintain quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues related to contracts, scope changes, or delays.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of project estimates, contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout all project phases.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in relevant estimating or project management software.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms for the company.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, site management, and contract administration.
- Excellent understanding of cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget management.
- Construction site experience is highly desirable for effective coordination between estimating and field operations.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
