Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into precise, high-quality components through various fabrication techniques. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate components.
- Operate a variety of power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, assemble, and finish sheet metal and other materials.
- Use welding techniques such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
welding to join metal parts securely. - Measure dimensions precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Set up and operate machinery including press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading equipment for fabrication tasks.
- Perform rigging and assembly of fabricated parts while adhering to safety protocols and ASME codes & standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following all safety procedures related to construction site work, welding, machining, and fabrication processes.
Skills
- Proven construction site experience with knowledge of ductwork, piping, and structural assembly.
- Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW,
welding; ability to read schematics related to welding procedures. - Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately for precise fabrication work.
- Familiarity with rigging operations involving cranes and forklifts for material handling.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work essential for fabrication accuracy.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to manufacturing and fabrication projects.
- Experience with plasma cutting machines, press brake machines, machining tools, soldering, pipe threading, and assembly processes.
