Construction Remodel Technician

Job Summary

Full-Time · Travel between stores in [NY / CT / NJ / MA] · [Mon–Fri, 7am start] Atlantis Fresh Market runs convenience stores across the Northeast, and there’s always a project underway. We’re looking for skilled, reliable techs who take pride in their work and like variety.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Store remodels and renovations: full interior upgrades at our existing locations
• New openings and buildouts: new stores, food service and coffee areas, and in-store brand openings
• Tile and flooring: installs, repairs, and replacements on floors and walls
• Carpentry: framing interior walls, building counters and cabinets, trim and finish work
• Sheetrock and ceilings: hang, patch, and finish drywall; replace ceiling tiles and grid
• Fixtures and shelving: install gondolas, cooler racks, cabinets, and doors
• Painting: interior and exterior touch-ups and full repaints
• Basic plumbing: sinks, drains, and fixture connections during remodels
• Repairs: fix damage at operating stores and get them back to standard fast

Most jobs happen while stores stay open, so you’ll work safely and cleanly around customers and staff

Qualifications

• 2 years of construction, remodel, or general maintenance experience (tile experience strongly preferred)
• Comfortable with a sander, saws, drill, screw gun, and hand tools
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Able to lift to 80 lbs., work on ladders, and handle dust, paint, and fuel odors

Physical Requirements:

· Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials, tools, fixtures, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more. 

· Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday. 

· Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling while performing flooring, plumbing, drywall, and repair work. 

· Climbing ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to perform ceiling, painting, shelving, and fixture installations. 

· Working with hands and power tools requiring good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. 

· Reaching above shoulder level to install ceiling tiles, shelving, signage, lighting, and fixtures. 

· Ability to work in confined spaces when performing repairs, plumbing, or remodeling tasks. 

· Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials and equipment.
