Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize the nursing care process for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Identify patient problems and prioritize them based on biophysical, psychological, and environmental factors.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on their health conditions and promote patient empowerment.
- Perform limited laboratory services, including specimen collection and processing.
- Ensure all patient care activities adhere to standards, procedural guidelines, and organizational policies.
- Support performance improvement initiatives and provide leadership to the patient care team.
- Engage in continuous professional development through educational activities.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable work environment for patients and colleagues.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi-state license required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire or transfer.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at the time of hire, with training provided for incumbents.
- 2 years of medical/surgical and/or emergency room experience preferred.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
- Minimum of 8 contact hours of education annually in basic trauma, stroke assessment, and stabilization.
- ATCN or TNCC certification required within 24 months of hire or transfer.
- PALS or ENPC certification attained within 12 months of hire or transfer.
- CPI certification by 10/31/25 for existing team members, and new team members have 1 year from the hire or transfer date.
