Cardiac Surgical Physician Assistant (PA-C) – Full-Time

Position Summary:
AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and flexible Cardiac Surgical Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our dynamic Cardiothoracic Surgery team. We are hiring for both full-time and per diem positions to provide support across the Operating Room (OR), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and inpatient floors. Reports directly to the Chief Physician Assistant of Cardiothoracic Surgery
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced surgical PA interested in maintaining and advancing OR skills while contributing to high-quality cardiothoracic care in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- First assist in adult cardiac surgical procedures in the OR
- Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) for CABG cases
- Round on postoperative patients in the ICU and step-down units
- Provide floor coverage and respond to urgent surgical needs
- Collaborate closely with attending surgeons, fellows, residents, and nursing staff
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification and New Jersey licensure (or eligibility)
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekdays, weekends, and call as needed
Salary : $146,000 - $179,000
