We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and ensure seamless manufacturing processes.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity or facility structures.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems and implement solutions.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Lead small teams or supervise maintenance projects when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed and tasks are completed efficiently.
- Support facilities maintenance activities including residential painting, carpentry, plumbing repairs, and general upkeep of the building environment.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime by providing prompt maintenance support and troubleshooting assistance.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety standards, conducting risk assessments, and participating in safety training sessions.
- Assist in training new team members or apprentices in maintenance procedures and safety practices.
Skills
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot wiring systems, motors, sensors, relays, and control panels.
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with gears, belts, pulleys, pumps, valves, and mechanical assemblies.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and programming basics.
- Skilled in welding techniques for repairs or fabrication tasks using MIG or TIG welders.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance including plumbing, HVAC systems, residential painting, carpentry, and general building upkeep.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing.
- Experience with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and effective teamwork.
