Tasks:
1. **Bid Invitation Management:**
- Receive and track incoming bid invitations from general contractors.
- Evaluate project specifications and requirements.
2. **Project Takeoff:**
- Conduct detailed analysis of team takeoffs for window film installations from PDF documents.
- Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine accurate material needs.
3. **Estimating:**
- Prepare and review comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, and overhead.
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain pricing for window film and related materials when required.
4. **Proposal Preparation:**
- Develop and present competitive proposals to general contractors.
- Ensure all bids are compliant with project requirements and deadlines.
5. **Collaboration:**
- Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and installation crews.
- Communicate effectively with general contractors to clarify project details and identify items that need clarification. Submit RFI’s
6. **Market Research:**
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and pricing strategies.
- Analyze previous project data to refine estimating processes.
7. **Documentation:**
- Maintain organized records of bids, estimates, and project correspondence.
- Update project databases with current bidding information.
8. **Risk Assessment:**
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with each bid.
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks in project execution.
9. **Client Interaction:**
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors and clients.
- Address any questions or concerns regarding estimates or proposals.
Qualifications:
1. **Education:**
- Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
2. **Experience:**
- Proven experience in estimating and project management within the construction or window film industry.
- Familiarity with commercial window film products and installation techniques is not required but is helpful.
3. **Technical Skills:**
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., PDF, Bluebeam, PlanSwift).
- Strong understanding of construction blueprints and technical specifications.
4. **Analytical Skills:**
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail for accurate takeoffs and estimates.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
5. **Communication Skills:**
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
6. **Organizational Skills:**
- Highly organized, disciplined , and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
