Lead Residential HVAC Installer

Atlantic Staffing Consultants has a Lead Residential HVAC Installer opening for a well-established client in the Raleigh, NC area.

Duties of the Lead Residential HVAC Installer:
* To ensure proper installation of equipment.
* Gather proper materials before leaving the office.
* Verify equipment location with the sales representative or Service Manager.
* Install wiring, refrigerant, gas, and condensation piping according to standard installation practices and the Service Manager’s instructions.
* Must be able to make final wiring and pipe connections according to local codes.
* Ensure that the equipment installed does not interfere with building structures or other preexisting work.
* Check equipment start-up and operation.
* Supervise and assign job duties to the helper as appropriate.
* Monitor helper’s work and assist helper in learning proper installation techniques and use/care of tools.
* Take responsibility for company tools at the job site and return them to the shop when finished.
* Report damaged or lost tools to the Service Manager immediately.
* Notify the Service Manager of problems or accidents encountered on the job.
* Take precautions during all phases of job performance to avoid accidents.
* Must be able to fill in material requisitions and submit them daily.
* Must be able to fill in time cards (for self and helper) accurately and daily.
* Exercise behavior that ensures personal safety and the safety of coworkers.
* Must be able to promote a positive company image.
* Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications of the Lead Residential HVAC Installer:
* EPA Certification Preferred.
* Must be over 18 years old.
* Must know construction techniques.
* Must have some experience supervising others.
* Must be able to make decisions regarding minor problems at job sites.
* Must display leadership qualities in working with a helper.
* Must show tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.

Physical Requirements of the Lead Residential HVAC Installer:
* Work easily and skillfully with their hands.
* Lift and carry objects weighing up to 150 pounds. (Equivalent of 3 5-Gallon Water Bottles)
* Must be able to hear and see well (either naturally or with corrective lenses)
* Must be able to climb and maintain balance on high ladders and scaffolds.
* Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
* May be required to be licensed.

Shift and Pay for the Lead Residential HVAC Installer:
* Monday – Friday
* 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with alternating on-call
* Starting Pay: $28-$32 per hour DOE
* Temp-To-Hire Position!
