Maintenance Mechanic - Weekly Pay

Atlantic Staffing Consultants is looking for an addition to our Fleet Maintenance Team at a Recycling Facility in Columbia, SC. The position is temp-to-hire.

Weekly Pay - Overtime - Benefits

Duties of the Maintenance Mechanic:

·This position ensures compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations for safe, environmentally sound maintenance activities.

· Maintains, services, and/or repairs fleet vehicles, including trucks and trailers, and other construction equipment, including but not limited to front-end loaders, skid steers, and forklifts.

· Maintains a clean and environmentally responsible work area.

· Repairs and services company vehicles within the guidelines and procedures outlined by the Company.

· Adheres to Company policies and procedures, State, Local, and federal regulatory requirements.

· Participates in continuous training and development within one's job classification.

· Shall submit neat, accurate paperwork and required documentation, and correctly use "Work Orders" and "Purchase Orders".

· All other duties as assigned.

Requirements of the Maintenance Mechanic:

· General maintenance experience in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems, suspensions, electrical, air conditioning, air brakes, computer diagnostics, basic electrical, lighting, and floors.

· Possesses strong mechanical skills.

· Possesses the skills and training necessary to maintain, service, and/or repair company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

· Displays a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public.

· Working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing, walking, climbing, working from heights, and lifting to 75 lbs.

· Must have the ability to exercise discretion and good judgment.

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· At least 2 years of relevant work experience.

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday (weekends and overtime when required)7:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Rate: $26.04/hour
