Patient Advocate

Atlantic Spine Center is a nationally recognized leader in endoscopic, minimally invasive spine surgery and interventional pain management. We are looking for an exceptional Administrative Support person to join our Patient Advocate team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Schedule and follow up doctor's appointment. Communicate with each patient and make sure they are notified of their appointment.
• Working closely with all departments within the facility in order to become familiar with office practices.
• Working within our EMR and other record keeping programs to schedule new / repeat patients and maintain updated records for them.
• Assisting with referring patients out and keeping track of referrals.
• Initiates, coordinates, and executes administrative support to the office.
• Perform all related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent, three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
• High Level Attention to Detail
• Meticulous about organization
• Ability to work as an individual and more importantly as part of a TEAM
• Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians
• Medium to Advanced level of Computer Proficiency an absolute MUST HAVE
• Microsoft Word and Excel experience
• Ability to multitask efficiently
• Polite and Professional Phone Etiquette

Compensation will be based on a combination of Education and Experience.

*** Experience with orthopedic and spine facility is HUGE plus ***

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
